But Southern Africa’s sonic landscape is far richer, deeper, and more diverse than what many have heard. Southern Rhythms is a celebration of that diversity—a journey through the vibrant sounds and rhythms that define this culturally rich region.

From the hypnotic beats of Afrotech to the soulful grooves of Afrohouse, the raw energy of Gqom(Hqom), and the nostalgic sway of Kwaito, this event brings together genres that have shaped dance floors and cultural identities across the continent. We’ll also explore other Afro-inspired genres that blend traditional African sounds with contemporary electronic, jazz, and urban influences, showcasing the innovation and creativity that Southern African artists bring to the global stage.

I’m a South African married to a U.S. soldier, currently living in Germany. I’m passionate about painting, traveling, and especially bringing different cultures together through music and events. My husband and I run Stamina Events, where we curate energetic, high-quality experiences like DJ nights, themed parties, and community gatherings.
